Something that struck me about Bloodborne

I recently had this thought in my head that Bloodborne can be considered as something of an introduction for gamers who haven't played From Software's Dark Souls games.
Some of the gameplay mechanics in Dark Souls are present in Bloodborne, but some might have been made a bit easier in comparison.
For example, there's no weight limit to the weapons and attire you can wear unlike Dark Souls where you can get a lot slower if you equip more then your character is able to handle.
And the combat has a much quicker pace then the DS games where it is generally a good idea to equip a shield along with your swords, spears or whatever you've gotten, then there's also the parry system where you can make the enemies stumble if you time a swing with the shield just about right, some of the enemies can be really quick on their feet and in their attacks, especially when it comes to the bosses.
Plus Bloodborne encourages you to be brutal when fighting since you can in that game regain health by attacking, something that From Software said was something in the way of your character's confidence, while Dark Souls doesn't have much of that aside from rings that give you slow and steady health regen as well as giving you health after killing an enemy, along with the usual assortment of potions and herbs for combating poison of course.
I feel like that playing Bloodborne did help me in being more prepared for playing Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin which allowed me to get used to the combat a lot quicker then I would if I had played this right away and not Bloodborne before.
Also, every victory against the bosses is as satisfying as in Bloodborne, if not even more considering the slower and more careful pace.

Yeah, I bought Dark Souls back in 2012 back I stopped playing it soon enough after I kept getting killed by the second boss. Then I bought Bloodborne, finished it and that get me back into playing Dark Souls, which I managed to finish as well. Now I'm onto Dark Soul 2: Scholar of the First Sin...and once again I've stopped playing it because some boss keeps killing me.
