Well now we've gone into october, the time of the year that we associate the most with when it comes to being scared.
I've actually just preordered the Digital Deluxe edition of Alien: Isolation for PC on Green Man Gaming.
It is gonna be a first person survival horror game where you play as Amanda Ripley, the daughter of Ellen Ripley, who wants to find out what happened to her mother all those years ago when she left 15 years ago and never came back.
Amanda is grown up and is now working for the Weyland-Yutani corporation when she hears that the flight data recorder for the Nostromo, the ship that Ellen was onboard, had been found and transported to the space station Sevastopol that is currently being decommissioned, she is given a chance by her boss to go with a small team to the station and learn first hand what happened to her mother and the crew.
However, things don't go smoothly when they arrive at the station and now Amanda must hide from not only crazed people and androids, but also a lone and very cunning Xenomorph that roam the station looking for prey.
Of course, Amanda is an engineer and she can fashion some useful things out of the various scraps you will be finding onboard the station, but more often then not you might wanna try sneaking past the enemies rather then try to fight them.
It has been stated that whenever Amanda tries to use a firearm, it will feel very heavy and alien in her hands and thus stealth might be the better option instead of confronting.
Another thing is that the Xenomorph might be apparently able to learn any tricks you will pull off in the game, like that if you hide under a table it will start to look under them the next time you try to hide underneath them among other things.
I will admit I was a bit skeptical of this title since it is being developed by The Creative Assembly that up until this point have only made historical strategy game, the Total War games to be more exact, but it looks like they're putting a lot of effort into making this a great survival horror experience and not pull off some sort of trickery like Gearbox Software did with Colonial Marines.
And here are some trailers:

So bloody annoyed
Right, I'm gonna need to vent for a bit here regarding a lot of crap I and many others have been seeing on Deviantart and other websites, that being A/I generated images. The websites are getting absolutely flooded by these images, with some profiles having several thousands of these in their galleries, and I absolutely HATE it. You can't do searches on anything these days without getting results that put these A/I generated images as the top results, which is extremely detrimental for actual artists that are trying to find references for something they're planning on drawing, not to mention the fact that these images look so generic, they all look the same and pretty much all the time have glaring issues such as weird limbs, eyes and more. Then there's also the fact that there are those who take money for this kind of nonsense, which is just bloody appalling in my opinion as those images were done by an algorithm and not an actual person. This isn't art at all in my opinion, actual
One year ends and a new one starts
And so 2023 has come to an end, happy new year! Let's hope this one will be better.
Another Christmas Eve
Good grief, this year sure flew by quickly, didn't it? Haven't happened much today during Christmas Eve for me, just been at home and taking it easy, no Christmas gifts yet. But otherwise it hasn't been too bad.
Birthday already? This year sure flew by quickly
And so it was time for my birthday again, took it easy today, gonna be some celebrations tomorrow, so that'll be nice. :)

So far is enjoying watching gameplays of this, very much. I would be lying if I said the launch of the game didn't inspire me to do the alien theme on Suni's ask blog.
